Shlipe

This is a one page roll and write game! 

You need: Two different colored four-sided dice, and a pen.

Goal: Get as many points as possible.

How to play: Roll both dice. One die determines the shape to be drawn. The other die determines what row or column the shape must go in. If there are no options in either row or column of that number, re-roll both dice. The game ends when the board is full.

Scoring: Points are scored for each row and column. You score points when at least two of the same shape are touching in a line. This is called a Schlipe (Sh-lie-puh).

Doubles: 5 points

Triples: 10 points

Quadruples: 20 points

Lastly, the darker colored squares are diagonal columns to be scored on their own. One going from top left to bottom right, and the other from bottom left to top right. These score DOUBLE points. In other words, a Doubles Shlipe which would ordinarily only score 5 points, would score 10 points.

Multiplayer variants: When playing with multiple players, there are two game modes: tournament mode and casual play.

Tournament mode: In tournament mode, one set of four sided dice is rolled for all players with all players agreeing at the start which die determines the shape and which die determines rows/columns.

Casual play: In casual play, each individual player rolls their own two four-sided dice. Results are less balanced in this mode, but it adds more randomness.
